In conjunction with the current Fire exhibition, RWA artist facilitators are bringing the heat and flames of fire to the Happy Days Memory Café to run a pewter casting workshop for people living with dementia and their carers.
Participants will be gently guided through carving cuttlefish bones, into which the molten pewter will then be poured. When cooled, the moulds will be opened and the pewter shape filed and sanded smooth.
This is one of the RWA's Learning & Participation outreach events programmed this year, with which new audiences are invited to engage.
