NEW! Starting at Zero: making drawing material practice
15 February 19
Tutor - Larissa Nowicki
Friday 15 February 2019, 10.30am - 4.30pm
This workshop, held alongside the exhibit, Albert Irvin and Abstract Expressionism, provides the opportunity to take inspiration directly from major works of art in the RWA gallery. Consider how gesture and materials are used to express spatial relationships and intangible emotions. Informed by Anni Albers’ “starting at zero” approach to creativity, experience drawing through a variety of non-traditional materials and approaches. Everyone is encouraged to suspend conventional techniques and consider new ways of making, through intuition, surface manipulation, and abstract compositions.
All basic materials provided for this class (heavier weight papers available at cost price). Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, course or a full refund.
