Creating impressions or 'rubbings' is an exciting and immediate way to experience surfaces 'through your fingers'. Combining 2D and 3D elements, this workshop will offer a practical insight into the endless possibilities of revealing the character of surfaces and the personality of objects.
The day includes an artist talk, a chance to develop experimental drawing techniques, and a unique opportunity to explore the historic fabric of the RWA building using this method.
All basic materials provided for this course (heavier weight papers available at cost price). Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio. Please also bring a small, hand-held object from which you might like to take a rubbing to act as an ice-breaker!
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, course or a full refund.
