NEW! Italian Holiday - Locating a Personal Practice in Landscape
23 Jun - 30 Jun 18
Tutor - Stewart Geddes PRWA
Saturday 23 June - Saturday 30 June 2018
The RWA Drawing School is delighted to be working in collaboration with the Verrocchio Art Centre set in Tuscany, Italy, to offer a week-long residential painting holiday led by artist and President of the RWA, Stewart Geddes. The environment of the Verrocchio Art Centre, the ancient town architecture, and the surrounding landscape will form the basis for ideas. A mixture of individual and group tuition, and en plein air and studio-based techniques, will allow participants to identify and develop a personal way forward in their painting. Because the emphasis will be on locating a personal way forward, the course will embrace a breadth of painting styles: abstraction, figuration, observation and imagination.
* Please note, the £375 above covers tuition and materials costs for the week only. A separate payment will need to be made to the Verrocchio Art Centre for half-board and airport transfers. This will be in between £680 - £862 per person depending on participant's choice of accommodation, and includes airport transfers. Standard single, including transfers, is £784.
