Woodblock print offers an enormous range of artistic possibilities through an exciting and hands-on process. In this two day introduction, learn how to design, cut and print a multiple-block colour woodcut. Beginners or more advanced participants are welcome. Rod Nelson has extensive experience as a woodblock printmaker and teacher, having taught for many years at West Dean College.
All basic materials and tools provided for this workshop, including one piece of woodblock per participants. Additional blocks can be purchased from the tutor at cost price. Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio. You may wish to bring a plastic bag in which to take wet work home with you. You could also consider bringing an inspirational image to the workshop - e.g. - a postcard, a photo, an image from a magazine etc.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, course or a full refund.
