Grab your friends (and your free drink) and enjoy music from our resident DJ, Spinthief (Supersmash), a special horror film screening and Halloween-themed art activities. There will also be professional special effects make-up artists turning a model into a spooky being (photos below).
Fancy dress optional.
Halloween Art Activities
Once you’ve been inspired by the exhibits, why not have a go at creating your own work of art? Grab your friends (and your free drink) and get creative with the drop-in activities in the drawing studio, including:
🎃 Follow our secret recipe to create your own Halloween slime.
👻 Make your very own 'magic picture'. Draw on white paper with a white wax candle and what do you see? Nothing! But colour over the top with our magic solution and all will be revealed...
💀 Raid the witch's spell cupboard for feathers, fir cones, bones, skulls and other spooky objects. Then, get busy drawing your finds. Use your feather as a quill, or roll a fir cone in ink and see what texture it creates.
🎨 Pick up one of our self-led drawing activities on your way into the gallery and become part of The Big Draw - a great way to get stuck into drawing if you haven't dared before.
The RWA Shop will also be open on the night, offering limited editions prints, books, artists’ materials, stationery and gifts for art lovers.
