Botanical Drawing: Colour Mixing and Matching in Watercolour
9 Jun 18
Tutor - Julia Trickey
Saturday 9 June, 10.30am - 4pm
It's possible to capture most of the hues of nature using just three primary colours. With this as a starting point, the workshop will explore how to mix the colours visible in botanical subjects, through a series of short painting exercises. Apply these discoveries to seasonal flowers, fruit and vegetables. Suitable for anyone that is curious about colour and who wants to depict natural subjects.
All basic materials provided for this course (heavier weight papers available at cost price), although we recommend bringing your own 'pointed round' watercolour brushes if you have them. Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, course or a full refund.
