Explore the potential of combining drawing and collage to create imagery and generate ideas for further work. Students will work with layering and juxtaposition, using a range of materials including hand coloured papers, magazines, photocopies, text and found materials. By making mixed media drawings, which will be deconstructed and then reassembled, this course seeks to encourage creative experimentation and discovery in a supportive atmosphere. Suitable for all abilities.
All basic materials provided for this course, including collage materials (heavier weight papers available at cost price). You may wish to bring some of your own collage materials to the course to personalise your work - these could be magazines, postcards, photos etc. Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio.
