‘I have been forty years discovering that the queen of all colours is black.’
Some say that black is not a colour, that it draws everything into itself – it is equated with darkness, death and depth, with shadow and oblivion. Begin to explore the richness and versatility of this potent colour across both drawing and painting media. Investigating the qualities of black, participants will engage in a variety of mark making techniques and materials, with structured exercises and time for individual development of work.
