Illuminate your life! From jewel like medieval manuscripts to present day graphic novels, word and image can complement each other in beautiful and imaginative ways. Join award winning 'graphic novelist in progress' and comics artist Emma Burleigh to explore the interplay of word and image, and tease out your own personal stories. Draw on myth, folk tale, poems and life experience for inspiration. By the end of the course you will have completed your own graphic short story in inks, paints, pencils or another media of your choice.
All basic materials provided for this workshop (heavier weight papers available at cost price), although we recommend bringing your own watercolour brushes if you have them. Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio. You may wish to bring a plastic bag in which to take wet work home.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, course or a full refund.
